Sabu Francis is well known for his research work in Architecture; especially representation of architecture using computers. He is also known for his expertise in software related to architecture, AI and Knowledge Management. Sabu has given several talks at IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, Pillai's college of Architecture - Navi Mumbai, IES College - Mumbai, Academy of Architecture - Mumbai, etc. The main lecture at Stapathya 2000 (an event at the Leela, Mumbai that celebrated the use of IT in architecture) was given by Sabu Francis. Similarly he has conducted many such lectures/seminars/workshops mainly in Mumbai and one in Bangalore and one in Kerala.
